We welcome pottery painters throughout the week, but we would suggest you call ahead to book a table because the studio is so small! We can get very busy during peak times (Saturdays and school holidays). Painting sessions usually last between 1-2 hours depending on the ages of the painters and the pieces being painted; we won’t restrict your painting time unless we need to manage bookings during our peak times. For more information about costs please click here!
If you become a regular visitor to Ceramica, why not join our Membership scheme and get twelve months painting without paying the £5.00 studio fee. Other benefits of being a Member include a quarterly newsletter, exclusive special offers, and being able to leave unfinished work at the studio to complete another time. If you’re addicted to ceramic painting, it’s a great way to save money!
Stuck for ideas for presents? Ceramica gift vouchers are perfect for someone creative. Gift vouchers come in varying denominations so you can chose the amount you want to spend. Vouchers are valid for a period of twelve months so painters have plenty of time to arrange their studio session.
Baby Foot & Hand Prints:
Baby foot and hand prints are special because they capture a moment in time. Babies grow so quickly so why not capture that moment by printing your baby’s feet and hands on to pottery that you can cherish forever – you can create some truly unique gifts for your loved ones.
Let Ceramica put the ‘art’ in your party with our creative, fun-filled party packages. If you hold your party on a Sunday, you’ll get exclusive use of the studio, staff and equipment – a superb way to celebrate a birthday! See our ‘Parties’ page for more information on our party packages.
Evening Painting Sessions:
Grown ups can escape from the children for a few hours and come in for one of our adults only evenings. Bring your own wine and nibbles and make a real evening of it! Evening sessions are by appointment only and we require a minimum of 6 painters.
If you would like us to bring Ceramica to you, for a school function or a home birthday party for example, speak to a member of staff to discuss our off-site price packages. In the past, we’ve attended school summer and Christmas fairs; we’ve done end of term projects with a year 6 primary school class; we’ve done workshops at a local residential home for the elderly – the possibilities are endless and we’d love to hear how we can help add some colour and creativity to your function!
Take Home Packs:
If you would rather paint your ceramics in the comfort of your own home, you can purchase the ceramics, paint and brushes from Ceramica and then paint at your own convenience. We’ll issue you with an instruction sheet and will be on the end of the telephone if you need advice whilst painting. When your pieces are completed, just drop them back to the studio for glazing and firing and we’ll have them ready for you within seven days.
Don’t worry if you don’t feel particularly artistic – you can commission us to do the hard work for you! You pay for the ceramics and the firing, plus an hourly commission fee for the artist’s time. We ask for a minimum of two weeks to complete a commission piece.
